Sadly a lot of Christian ministry today is about telling people what their itching ears want them to hear – the “prosperity gospel”. We are currently addressing some real issues that the Bible does not shy away from – Coping with tough times. I kicked off the series talking about Dealing with Stress. No skimping about the issue but considering how the Bible is raw about emotions and mental health issues and how some of the great names of the Bible battled with stress, despair, depression and the like.
